I
drive approximately 35 miles from Grand Prairie, Texas to One 2 One Fitness Center in
Lewisville. The challenge of motivation puts me through a test everyday. I am tested by
traffic problems, weather conditions, and the long distance alone. It takes me 45-50
minutes (one way) to get to my workouts, but it's all worth it.
After working out for only 4 weeks, I have noticed a
tremendous change in my body. Not only do I feel a lot healthier and fit, I look better. I
naturally have a thin, slender frame, but I had a substantial amount of body fat, and
absolutely no muscle tone.
Due to Joyce's intense, drilling, precise training
program, I have obvious results. I truly love my body again. I am getting my waistline
back (this is my favorite part), my stomach muscles are forming a six-pack. I can't
believe it! My arms are very toned and muscular. My thighs are firm. And my buttocks.. oh,
my buttocks!!! I have muscles everywhere.
My decision to seek a professional to help me accomplish
my goal was based on my lack of self-motivation. At a younger age, I found it easy to
motivate myself to do whatever it took in order to perfect any imperfections that were
visible. This motivation was fueled by never wanting to be overweight. The older I became,
the less motivated I became. I accepted the idea that those imperfections were
"normal" and "expected" due to the aging process. Well, those days are
over.
In April 2001, I will marry my best friend. He and I have
been together for many years. I figured the best wedding gift I can give him, and give
myself for that matter, is the best body I can have on our honeymoon. Watch out honey,
you are in trouble now!!
Thank you Joyce. I am so grateful. I am grateful for your
dedication to me. Everyday you motivate me. Your spirit is one that radiates a love for
life. You give each of us equal attention, equal motivation, and equal "positive
reinforcement". How do you do this day after day, class after class? How do you stay
so highly motivated? Whatever it is, I feel your energy. Again, thank you for teaching us
about fitness, motivation, dedication, and most of all about appreciation and love for
life.
