This is where I began:
During 1993, I began suffering from debilitating depression,
so much so that the only energy I could
afford was divided between a few essential
household chores and reaching out to God.
By 1995, my weight had spiraled over 220
pounds, and at 5'2" tall, a heart attack
lay in waiting. My knees crackled under
the slightest pressure; my stomach plowed
into the steering wheel of my small Toyota
and sat atop restaurant tables. I felt my
life was severely at risk and I longed to
save it.
 Age 38, Over 220 lbs
But
instead of changing the size of my car,
clothing, or health insurance coverage,
I considered the health and cost benefits
of changing the size of my body. Working
on God-given, self-driven motivation and
with the aid of a personal trainer, I began
exercising consistently at a local gym during
September 1995 slowly strengthening my cardiovascular
and skeletal systems.

The Turning Point!
The threat of the onset of diabetes and severe chest pains.
By July 1996, I was 90 pounds lighter and at the pinnacle
of my fitness. I went on to obtain my personal
training certification at the Cooper Institute
in Dallas.
Because
of my weight-loss success, people were inspired
in numbers, and thusly, One 2 One Personal
Fitness was founded.
One
year later, July I, 1997, One 2 One Personal
Fitness had become a private, fully equipped
studio.
 Joyce at age 46
And today, as the owner and certified fitness
trainer/coach, I am successfully managing
the business in its 52nd month of operation.
